Connection is Everything!

When searching for your waterfront forest wedding venue, one thing matters above all else: connection. Connection with the place where you’ll celebrate one of the most meaningful days of your life. Connection with the atmosphere—the trees, the river, and the quiet moments in between. And most importantly, connection with the people who will be with you every step of the way, from your very first venue tour to the final goodbye at the end of your wedding night.

Because the right micro wedding venue isn’t just a beautiful space—it’s a feeling, a relationship, and a team that truly cares about your day. That connection is everything. And today, I’d love to introduce you to a wonderful couple who recently booked their wedding with us: Keirstyn and Zac

How It All Began

We first heard from Keirstyn and Zac when they reached out on WeddingWire about our venue. Terry read their email and passed it along to Gerri, who quickly called them. That call turned into something special. What was meant to be a quick conversation became nearly two hours of talking—not just about their wedding and our venue, but about life, shared experiences, and common ground. Keirstyn is a triathlete and a runner. Gerri is also a runner. And just like that, there was a spark of understanding, familiarity, and ease. A connection.

They booked a venue tour for our remaining June date, but a few days later, life happened and they had to reschedule. No problem at all.

The Snowy Tour Day

When they arrived for their rescheduled tour, the property was blanketed in fresh snow. It was absolutely beautiful… but a little chilly. We brushed snow off the moss, the ferns, and the forest floor to show them the lush greens resting underneath. The river was calm, the air crisp, and everything felt peaceful.

After walking the property, we sat together under the little Signing Chapel with the firepit going, blankets on our laps, looking out over the water. And there, surrounded by nature, the four of us talked—about weddings, family, dreams, and life. That’s when Keirstyn shared something that truly stayed with us.

She told us that the phone call with Gerri had taken all the stress off her shoulders. Before that call, she had researched at least sixty wedding venues from Niagara Falls to Ottawa! She even had an Excel spreadsheet—columns, notes, details, all the data you can imagine. Originally from Wooler, Ontario, Keirstyn and Zac thought Prince Edward County might be the perfect fit. After all they grew up in the area and were very familiar with PEC. But as they explored, things didn’t feel the same as they remembered growing up. It was busy. Expensive. Crowded. It lacked the intimacy, the quiet, the outdoorsy feeling they wanted.

Then they found us. And from the moment Gerri called her back, something clicked. Keirstyn told us, sitting there by the fire, that she just felt better. The anxiety she’d been carrying started to melt away. When they finally arrived at Riverstone on the Crowe and experienced it in person, that peaceful feeling only grew stronger.

We talked. We laughed. We shared stories. We learned about their families, their dreams, and their vision for a wedding that feels grounded, sincere, and connected to nature. But what meant the most to them wasn’t just the setting—it was the feeling of being seen, supported, and understood. Hearing their story, talking through their vision, and watching their excitement grow reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

By the end of their visit, there was no question. They told us, “This is it. This is where we want to say our ‘I do’s.’” And we couldn’t be more honored to be part of their journey. By the end of the tour, it wasn’t just about booking a date. It felt like the beginning of something meaningful.

Why Connection Matters

Your wedding day isn’t just a date on the calendar—it’s a deeply personal experience. And the best experiences are shaped by trust, comfort, and genuine connection. You deserve a venue and a team who make you feel seen, supported, and truly understood. When you’re touring spaces, pay attention to how you feel—not just to the price tag. The right venue should feel like the place where your story naturally belongs.

Kierstyn and Zac reminded us of that in the most beautiful way. Their connection with our space—and with us—was real, effortless, and heartfelt. And when that connection is there, everything else falls naturally into place.
